This gender neutral statement curved refraction brooch suits both men and women. It looks best when the back fastenings are tucked into a jacket pocket or top of a dress but the 2 silver wire pins can also be used to pierce open weave natural fabrics like wool and linen.

The curve is polished to a mirror finish, reflecting the colours around the wearer, while open wave shapes have been cut out to show a pop of colour of the wearer’s clothes. Four of the open shapes have been filled with Mediterranean blue plique-a-jour enamel which looks dark when worn on a darker colour but adds a dazzling surprise of vivid blue when worn over lighter coloured clothing, especially white.

The brooch is a real conversation starter, meant to bring a sense of relaxation and peace, having been inspired by a summer afternoon by the pool as a gentle breeze caused refracted rainbow light to ripple on the water.
