Three silver filigree sails have been overlapped and gold plated to create this statement gender neutral ring, which is part of our Wind in the Sails designer collection.
Filigree has been used to symbolise the wind gusts and eddies, while gold represents the sun on the sails at sunset.
Most sailors began life in smaller sail boats and at the end of the day the sails were dropped in an orderly collection ready for storage. This ring captures a memory of these sails overlapping and ready to be put away in a sail bag.
A great match for this ring is the sailing jewellery triple sail pendant and the sailing jewellery medium filigree earrings.
This ring is unique, but customisation means it is possible to create a similar ring using different precious metals, sizes of sails and filigree designs. We can even enamel the sails to match your own boat provided the ring design is less complex. Please contact us.
Designed by Tara Lois, who is herself a sailor and hand crafted in Malta.
Approximately 1.5cm wide on the upper finger. Ring size 63 which can be altered on request. Recycled 925 / Sterling Silver and partial gold plating to the upper surface.
Filigree cleaning advice is given in a Guide which can be requested through a link in the Jewellery Cleaning & Care Guide blog.
